The need for Early Childhood Care and Education Course (ECCE) was recognized by the National Policy on Education (1986 and revised in 1992). It is realized that Early Childhood Care and Education is a strong base for primary education. It is also an important input in the strategies of human resource development, as a feeder and support programme for primary education.
Early Childhood Education is an enrichment course for both working and non-working women. These days, the demand for pre-school education has increased tremendously. Therefore, this early childhood program aims at training existing teachers, homemakers, collegians who aspire to take up teaching as a profession and also entrepreneurs wishing to set up a playschool, kindergarten, activity club, etc. It will thus help in achieving the national goal of 'Education for All'.
Eligibility
Anyone with a 10 +2 level qualification / a graduation degree is welcome to enroll for Early Childhood Education Diploma program through regular, correspondence/distance learning & online modes. If you are out of school or are in college, then this program can offer you a good career option. Existing teachers can also upgrade their teaching skills by doing this program.

- 2 recent passport size photographs.
Duration
Duration of this Early Childhood Education Course is of one year. However, a candidate can complete the course anytime within one-year limit.

Course Details
Paper I - ORGANIZING CHILD CARE SERVICES
Gives an insight into the need for and components of childcare services and how to organize them, understanding the concept of all-round development of children, etc.
Paper II - CHILD HEALTH AND NUTRITION
Brings
awareness regarding child’s health, the relation between health and nutrition, balanced diet, various diseases, first aid, etc.
Paper III - SERVICES AND PROGRAMMES FOR CHILDREN
Contribution of eminent personalities in the fields of pre-school education, parenting styles, needs of special children, etc.
Project
Project work for Early Childhood Education (ECCE) Course includes craft book, creativity book, story chart, flash cards, puppets, etc.
Practicals / Internship
All the candidates will receive intensive training and practical knowledge in all areas of classroom management by observing and interacting with teachers and children during their one-month internship period in our school.
Viva
It teaches the trainees the art of teaching and prepares them for demo / interviews.
Workshops
Apart from the above-mentioned things, we conduct several workshops for the trainees on curriculum planning, rhymes, phonetics, projects, etc to acquaint & equip them to face the challenges in the field of teaching.
