VES is a Government Registered Teacher Training Institute under Societies' Registration Act, 1860 and Public Trust Act, 1950. It is one of the largest teachers training institutes conducting various Teachers Training Diploma Courses in India and abroad. One among them is Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).
The need for Early Childhood Care and Education Course (ECCE) was recognized by the National Policy on Education (1986), which was revised in 1992. It is realized that Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) is a strong base for primary education. It is also an important input in the strategies of human resource development, as a feeder and support programme for primary education. It will thus help in achieving the national goal of 'Education for All'.
Early Childhood Education is an enrichment ECCE course for both working and non-working women. The demand for pre-school education has increased tremendously these days. Therefore, Early Childhood Care and Education Programs aim at training aspiring teachers, homemakers and collegians who wish to take up teaching as a profession, and also entrepreneurs who desire to set up a pre-school, early childhood centre, activity club, toy library etc. In-service teachers can also upgrade their teaching skills by enrolling for these early childhood care and education programs.
