It is commonplace in hypothetical writing on child development to express of a given year as being “critical”. Obviously, in childhood, every year is precarious, with the earlier years being more critical merely because it is in the initial years that the kid achieves the skill, self-assurance, and sense of self-worth with which to deal with difficulty in the later years!
But it is firm to discuss with the evidence that the first three years of life are the most dangerous of all, if for no other motive than the statistic that seventy-five percent of total brain growth and progress takes place during that age! Fascinatingly, within that three-year period, the second and third years vary meaningfully from the first year in that the parents must now begin laying intelligent contribution into their promotion. In the first year, the infant is still in a semi-fetal stage, where utter physical existence is the concern at hand. At this stage, humble general nurturing containing of feeding, fortification, and loving consideration is sufficient. But in the second and third years, the baby by this time transforms from this semi-fetal being into the rational and feeling human being that he has the prospective of becoming. For the parents of toddlers, it is significant to recognize that brain development rest on more than just the nutrients the brain obtains in the blood steam. There is no boundary to the quantity of love and gentle consideration that parents can give their kids at this age. The kid’s future capability to love others is reliant on him loving his parents and loving his own self, a state of matters that is essential be attained in this era of life!
